Dads Matter
Also we had to share this lovely video from Miss Representation celebrating the dads who empower their daughters.
Happy Father’s Day to all the awesome feminist fathers out there! ♥

Daddy Issues…Purlease
Apparently we forgot to share this on Friday so have it now instead!
Emily chats about her opinion of the whole “daddy complex” farce and laughs in its FACE. Also bigs up her dad: Happy Fathers Day Bobby!
ALSO ARGH when trying to tag this it came up with “father (profession)” but when I typed in “mum” it had no suggestions. Egg off tagging system!!!

Men! Feminism! Fatherhood! Yaaay…?
A video that I’m really hoping doesn’t act as the proverbial red flag. Click through to YouTube for the links I mentioned and Happy Father’s Day for the 17th June!
Second upload, re-edited to add the bit about my dad because Holly-Rae’s video made me want to. Plus my dad is totally responsible for the nerd I am today, which just makes him even cooler.
Also yeah, it’s a day late again sorry. Video deadlines seem to really set my depression off. I’m working on it.

Well look at that, it’s time for a (slightly belated) TOPIC ANNOUNCEMENT!
THIS WEEK: Since it’s Father’s day in a lot of countries this Sunday we thought it’d be fitting to discuss feminism, men and fatherhood.
A topic which I’m sure won’t attract any more angry misogynists than usual… *puts on comment moderator hard-hat*
NEXT WEEK: Is the week we FREAK OUT because ZOMG WE’RE ON THE TELLY!!!!1!!1 Also we’ll be talking about make-up, so that’s a thing.
THE WEEK AFTER: We’ll be talking feminism in the media, which is honestly just an excuse for us to talk about whatever happens after we’re on the telly. Yeah!
As ever if you’ve got a burning desire to say something about these topics (or any other topic) let us know and we’ll hook you up with a guest video spot. - Becca x

Third image is of the smiling face of a young white woman wearing 1950s style make-up with blonde hair in rollers. She is holding up a shaving razor in her right hand and a pair of eyelash curlers in her left hand. Taken from the BBC Media Centre programme page.]
